東京レインボープライド2015【ご報告】
これまで東京レインボープライドはLGBTとアライの祭典として規模を拡大してきました。お互いの違いを認め合い受け入れあう、またとない機会となっています。コミュニティがここまで発展したことをうれしく思うと同時に、平等で生きやすい社会を実現するために、まだまだやるべきことがあるのも事実です。
Every year, the largest gathering of LGBT and allies in Japan gather for Tokyo Rainbow Pride. The weekend is an opportunity for the Japanese community to celebrate diversity, acceptance, and inclusion together. It is a chance to look at how far the community has come, but also to look at the steps that still need to be taken to create equal rights and a chance to mobilize the community to help make that change.
そのため、2015年の東京レインボープライドにEMA日本も参加しました。2日間で、ボランティアの協力も得て、数えきれないブース来訪者を迎え、パレードを一緒に歩きました。EMAにとっても今年の東京レインボープライドは大成功でした！And at 2015’s TRP, EMA Japan was there! Two days, countless volunteers, and a booth and parade made this year a rousing success!
EMA日本が出展した来訪者参加型のブースでは、「あなたにとって”愛”とは何ですか？」についてメッセージをボードに貼ってもらったり、「なぜあなたは同性婚を支持しますか？」について一言書いてもらって写真を撮影しました。またEM
A日本が同性婚を実現するためにどのような活動を行っているかについても多くの方にお伝えできました。
EMA Japan had a booth with fun activities such as messages of love for our EMA Japan bulletin boards, pictures with folks that wanted to declare why marriage equality was important to them, and education for thousands on the work EMA Japan is doing to bring Marriage Equality to Japan.
しかし、何といっても最大の成果は2日間で1,500名以上の方から同性婚賛同署名を集めることができたことです。今までのEMA日本のイベントでは最大の署名獲得となり、これにより累計の署名数が7,000を超えました。オンライン署名は引き続き募集しており、当初の目標であった10,000人も視野に入ってきました。
But our biggest success was that our petition to the Japanese government for Equal Marriage gained over 1,500 signatures, bringing us to well over 7,000 supporters! This is our largest sign up to date and we are incredibly humbled and proud to have made such huge strides in just two days. As registrations online continue to come in, we’re in the final countdown toward our initial goal of 10,000 supporters.
EMA日本は、週末のプライドで得た勢いを力に変え、この先を見据えて活動をパワーアップしていきます。

最後に、今回の東京レインボープライドにてブース来訪者の方々から4万2千円もの寄付を頂き誠にありがとうございました。しかし、ブース出展だけで5万円、その他横断幕などの経費も含め合計では約14万円の赤字となっております。。来年以降、東京レインボープライド参加のためにも是非ご寄付をいただければ幸いです。
